Tracking wildlife on the airfield and the steps the airport has taken to manage animal activity is an important safety consideration for the airport and the area around it. In order to manage wildlife activity, you need to know where they are and what type of animals they are. Our application lets you do just that. You place a point in the map where animals are found, provide details, and commit the point to your GIS. You can also track mitigation measures and any strikes or damage. After a brief period of time, reports can be made to allow the airport to better plan mitigation measures, help file depredation permits, or serve as a record to FAA or the community on animal activity in the vicinity of the airport.
